SCHOOLS INITIATIVE
The
USENET SCHOOLS INITIATIVE is a project designed to bring all of
the SCHOOLS / PUPILS / PARENTS & EDUCATORS in the Peninsula
into the Usenet Community Internet loop.
USENET
is offering EACH & EVERY SCHOOL IN THE SOUTH PENINSULA
a FREE GENERAL INFORMATION WEBPAGE with its own BULLETIN
BOARD / FORUM for posting School and Class notices for parents,
reminders, sports results and any other relevant information regarding
school activities.
In
addition, each school will be provided with a Registration Facility,
a Calendar of Events and an Email Newsletter facility for regular
online dissemination of information to registered parents and pupils.
Parents,
pupils & Educators alike will be encouraged to make use of these
facilities - the Bulletin Boards in particular - to keep everyone
up to speed with with what is happening at the school, as well as
to invite comment and discussion regarding many of the problems
which currently beset our children and our schools. Perhaps
we might even find a "moderator" somewhere in the South
who would be willing to manage our "general" schools forum,
and extract & publish community related subjects from all of
the various school forums. Then, once a consensus has been formulated
on these subjects they can be laid directly at the door of the responsible
parties.

note that this USENET sector is currently under construction.
Each and every school has to be visited and educated into the value
of the project - should you however be an educator in the area and
wish to get your school up and running please EMAIL
us with your details so that we can arrange to see you ASAP.
As
the schools come on board the links to their pages will be entered
here ........ in the meanwhile, why don't you get onto our
GENERAL SCHOOLS FORUM & BULLETIN BOARD and tell
us what you think of this idea ....... or discuss any other schools
related subject which you might consider relevant to the forum.
